Mario has been working in the field of early childhood development the better part of 17years. He studied in the field of sport management and Kinderkinetics and spent the first 8 years of his professional career as a practicing Kinderkineticist, working with children from a diverse spectrum of drawbacks ranging from developmental delays, academic delays, specialized sport skill development as well as children in the special population bracket.
During these 8years he identified a massive general need for more specialized movement development, especially in the early years and foundation phase level. He developed a highly specialized physical education programme, which incorporated much of what would be done in private practice, that could be delivered as mass participation sessions in schools. In 2012 he moved away from the private practice sector and dedicated his time to developing and implementing curriculum based physical education programmes for learners aging from 3 years to 13 years old. He has also facilitated numerous training workshops and seminars for specifically ECD teachers, physical education teachers and coaches. Since then his various curriculums have been implemented nationally and thousands of children have taken part in his programmes.
He remains passionate about, and focused on, early childhood development with a keen interest in technology and how it can be used to improve the physical education experience and improve overall skill development of children. With an ever changing landscape in this field he believes that tradition and innovation should both be embraced for maximum reward.
